Labso Chimie Fine S.a.r.l.

Labso Chimie Fine S.a.r.l. synthesises inorganic and organic products and spray-dries natural substances for human and veterinary pharmaceuticals, food products and cosmetics. The company developed from the acquisition of Laboratoire du Sud Ouest by Boehringer in 1962.

Today, about 50 people are employed at Labso. Operating a 2/3 shift system, the organisation is highly flexible and able to make rapid decisions; a key condition for successful cooperation with our customers. The site has many years of experience in contract manufacturing, particularly in spray-drying. The utilities - electricity, steam, demineralised water, COD in effluent etc. - are used only at about 50 percent of available capacity.

Production profile

Production at Labso includes intermediates for the pharmaceutical industry and lysozyme from eggwhite for pharmaceutical and food products. Furthermore magnesium minerals and other minerals for the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and food industries, and monomers for the resorbable polymers are included in the portfolio.
