The Boehringer Ingelheim group of companies has achieved positive results in
environmental protection,
health and safety to date, but we aim for continuous
improvement.
Since 1995 we regularly published our targets for the upcoming years and accounted for the degree of implementation. In the beginning, we
established mainly quantitative targets regarding use of natural resources and emissions. As you can see in our report
"Our planet - our
responsibility", most of the targets were successfully achieved.
Nowadays, targets are more difficult to quantify than previous goals. Many of the
targets in the period 2001 - 2006 (PDF
341 KB) already dealt with areas such as
product stewardship,
business partners and
management systems.
The following table shows our current targets for the period 2005 - 2010. It also displays the updated status of the targets that were taken over from the previous period.
