Expectations towards our Business Partners
When choosing new business partners, Boehringer Ingelheim considers their Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) standards. To meet this claim, we revised our procedure and for qualification of suppliers and third party manufacturers as well as our contractor safety procedure.
Supplier qualification procedure
In terms of EHS we ask that minimum requirements are met in order to follow our principles for Safety, Quality and Environmental Protection and to ultimately ensure the continuity of our own business. Therefore, we increasingly check EHS aspects as well as social aspects during qualification of suppliers and contract manufacturers.
Contractor safety
We expect from all contractors that work at our sites to fulfil a high standard regarding EHS issues. To ensure this standard, a corporate procedure on contractor safety describes minimum requirements - e.g. the selection, introduction and supervision of contractors.
Companies which do not fulfil Boehringer Ingelheim's requirements are not allowed to work on our sites and to put our employees and themselves at risk.
