- During the year up to December 31, 2007, the total number of people working for Boehringer Ingelheim worldwide rose by
3.6% to reach 39,800.
- The number of people working in Europe at the end of 2007 was
20,682 - an increase of 3.9%.
- The number of employees in the Americas increased by
450 (+3.5%) mostly in the NAFTA region.
- 15,095 of our people worked in Marketing & Sales worldwide, a rise
of 5.1% during 2007.
- 12,502 of our people worked in production worldwide, a rise of
1.0% during 2007.
- The number of people working in Research & Development
reached 6,405.
- In 2007, 45.1% of Boehringer Ingelheim employees were
female.
- During the year up to December 31, 2007, Boehringer
Ingelheim employed 703 apprentices, thereof 660 in Germany.
